Scholarships Available for Children's Enrichment Classes

May 19, 2006 (Laramie, WY) --
With the release of the Summer Enrichment catalog comes a batch of new recipients for the class scholarships, offered by UW Community Enrichment Programs.  Each semester, ten $25 scholarships are available for children 16 years old and younger.

Some of the children’s classes that are being offered this semester include ballet, waterbabies, preschool swim lessons, baton twirling, junior animal drawing, Native American story hour, junior naturalist, and karate for kids.

Those who are interested in participating in the scholarship program must visit the Office of Community Enrichment Programs, located in the UW Beta House, and fill out an application.  Theses need-based scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and applicants must meet financial guidelines.  Scholarships are limited to one per family per semester and one per child per calendar year.

For more information on the scholarship program, please contact Amy Gronke at (307) 766-6801 or algronke@uwyo.edu.  A complete listing of classes available can be found at http://outreach.uwyo.edu/enrichment.
