March 22, 2007 (Laramie, WY) -- Are you implementing payroll in QuickBooks for the first time for your small business? Or are you simply looking to refine your current system? In either case, preparing payroll in any small business can be a daunting task.
A new online course entitled "Performing Payroll in QuickBooks 2007," can help you face that challenge with all the knowledge and ability you'll need to implement a payroll system that really works for your company.
Scott Paxton, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor, teaches the course. Paxton has extensive first-hand experience helping businesses launch a payroll process with QuickBooks. He deftly taps that experience to guide his students step-by-step through that process, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to master what might have otherwise been a frustrating and complex activity.
"The QuickBooks program largely simplifies the payroll process, but it's only as good as the user's knowledge," says Paxton. "I'll start at the beginning and help the student work toward the ultimate goal of accurately creating paychecks, paying tax liabilities, and creating quality reports."
Paxton's students also learn all the steps they need to follow to access necessary information on the Internal Revenue Service Web site, create a new employee, track time and job cost data, and generate the required forms and reports. And, Paxton adds, "if you're already using the QuickBooks payroll feature, this course will give you troubleshooting tips and solutions for common problems and mistakes."
Students can take "Performing Payroll in QuickBooks 2007" from the convenience of home or office, and at any time of the day or night.
