Noncredit Online Classes Start January Session

January 6, 2006 (Laramie, WY) --
UW Outreach School, Division of Community Service Education is proud to announce the next session of the Ed2Go noncredit online classes will be starting on Wednesday, January 18, 2006.

With the start of the New Year, it’s a great time to start learning or improving skills at an affordable price.  The classes can be taken at your own convenience and from the privacy of our own home with course access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The classes are only six weeks long with eight weeks to access the course material.

“This is the perfect time of year to start something new,” said Abi Gerhard, Project Coordinator for Community Service Education.  “It seems that everyone wants to learn something new to start off the New Year and these classes are a convenient way to do just that.”

A new class that is being featured for January is Introduction to Photoshop CS2.  If you want to work with graphics, Photoshop is the program you will most need to learn. This hands on, project-oriented course is filled with detailed step-by-step instructions you'll have no trouble following as you learn how to edit photos, create basic paintings, and prepare your images for printing. Discover how to improve photographs by removing flaws, correcting for poor exposure, or adding new elements. You’ll even learn how much fun it can be to paint again without the mess to clean up. And, best of all, no prior artistic ability is required to take this course.

Ed2Go offers over 300 classes in areas including computer software, applications and programming, web page design and programming, languages, writing courses, entertainment industry courses, grant writing and nonprofit management, business planning, administration and management, sales and marketing, accounting, test preparation, personal and career development, personal finance, health care, family and personal enrichment, child care and parenting, law and legal classes, plus many more.

Ed2Go also has a variety of classes available for PTSB credits.  With over 90 classes available, there is sure to be a class to fill your needs or desires.  Please visit http://outreach.uwyo.edu/enrichment/ptsb.htm for a complete list of PTSB credit classes.
