February 10, 2006 (Laramie, WY) -- The noncredit online classes, offered through UW Outreach School, Division of Community Service Education (CSE), experienced a great increase of enrollments for the month of January. Compared the to same month in 2005, the enrollments increased 233% for the single month.
One might wonder what the attraction is to these online classes. The online classes are noncredit allowing the student to move through the course at their own leisure while working to learn a new skill or to improve an existing skill, but not having to worry about grades or university applications.
The online classes are provided through Education2Go, a reputable company with over 300 classes available. Among the variety of classes available is a new course: Marketing your Business on the Internet.
“Internet marketing is one of the hottest, but also one of the most misunderstood, topics of interest for the small business community,” said Abi Gerhard, Project Coordinator for CSE. “Most people know that the Internet offers new and exciting business opportunities, but not many people know how to take advantage of those opportunities. That’s why this course is so important. This course will help those eager to learn about this important and timely subject from a fully qualified live instructor, on their own time, from their own home and for an affordable price.”
The next session for classes will begin on Wednesday, February 15. To register for the 6-week classes or for more information, contact Abi Gerhard at 307-766-5634 or abi@uwyo.edu.
