Community Service Education Changes its Name

March 1, 2008 (Laramie, WY)
—The Outreach School, Division of Community Service Education (CSE) is changing its name. The division will now be called the Center for Conferences & Continuing Education (CCCE).  The new name takes affect March 1, 2008.
“The Center for Conferences & Continuing Education better describes what we do for the Outreach School,” CCCE Director Sheila Couture says.  “We want to stand out in the public’s mind as The source for conference coordination and adult education.”
CCCE coordinates around 200 conferences annually through the Office of Conferences & Institutes. It provides full coordination for a wide spectrum of associations, groups, and causes in Wyoming, the Rocky Mountain Region, and nationally.  Upcoming conferences include the School Improvement Conferences in Casper, WY and Feeding and Balancing the Soil Conference in Torrington.
The Events Planning Office is an integral part of CCCE designated as a one-stop-shop for events hoping to use UW space.  Events Planning can help arrange for all needs a group coming to campus might have.
In addition to conferences, CCCE coordinates Enrichment classes, online noncredit classes, and customized training across Wyoming.  Enrichment classes for Spring are well under way with new classes starting this week.
Online classes through CCCE begin continuously throughout the year and are an easy way to learn a new skill or refresh some old skills.  There are over 5,000 subjects to choose from.
