August 28, 2006 (Laramie, WY) --
We are proud to host the Wildlife Society - Central Mountains and Plains Section and Wyoming Chapter Joint Meeting at the University of Wyoming August 29-September 1, 2006.

The Wildlife Society, founded in 1937, is an international non-profit scientific and education association dedicated to excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education.  Their mission is to enhance the ability of wildlife professionals to conserve diversity, sustain productivity, and ensure responsible use of wildlife resources for the benefit of society.

This conference, which will be held in Crane Hill and Beta House, will include presentations by students on Tuesday and will be on such subjects as moose, lichen toxicity, sage-grouse, black-footed ferret, and deer.  Tuesday night activities include a banquet followed by an auction/raffle and awards.  Presentations continue on Wednesday followed by a field trip on Thursday and a chemical immobilization course.
