LARAMIE, WY (April 8, 2008)—Wyoming is rich with history. To celebrate this history, the Center for Conferences & Continuing Education presents A Million Dollar Trip for a Thousand Bucks: Celebrating 100 Years of Wyoming History Classes at UW.
The Million Dollar Trip is a guided bus tour across Wyoming hosted by History Professor, Phil Roberts. The bus will be leaving Laramie Sunday June 8, 2008 and returning Saturday June 14, 2008.
The tour will make stops at some well know and some not-so-well known sites throughout Wyoming. Some of the better-known historic sites include Fort Laramie, Devil’s Tour, Yellowstone, Thermopolis and the Wind River Reservation.
Dr. Phil Roberts is an expert in Wyoming history and will guide the tour through some of Wyoming’s lesser-known areas including Sheridan, Powell, Shoshoni, Dubois and South Path City. Participants will gain first hand access to Black Thunder Coal Mine, Frontier Prison, and a working cattle ranch.
Visit http://outreach.uwyo.edu/enrichment/tripitinerary.asp for a detailed trip itinerary. The price of the trip is $1000 and includes meals and lodging for the week.
