Fall Enrichment Catalog Updated to Meet Community Business Needs

August 14, 2007 --
UW Outreach School, Division of Community Service Education released the 2007 Fall catalog filled with new classes designed to meet the business needs of the Laramie Community.  Catalogs were shipped out Friday, August 10, 2007 and should be arriving by mail to every household in Laramie.

The latest version of the catalog features numerous new classes designed to prepare students for employment in Laramie’s emerging hotel and hospitality market.  Students enrolled in the certificate program through CSE will be prepared to work in one of the many new hotels popping up around Laramie.

For the first time, CSE is offering a Web Design certificate program intended to help Laramie citizens create effective Web sites for personal or business use.  After completing the 12 Web Design modules, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Wyoming.

Many familiar classes remain in the Fall catalog lineup including Tai Chi, Yoga, Hydrobics and Country Swing!  Walkabout tours of Vedauwoo and UW’s Campus are a great way to learn about the Laramie region while getting some fresh air and exercise.

This fall, canine companions are included in the curriculum. CSE in conjunction with the Laramie Animal Shelter is sponsoring Dog Day Afternoon at Undine Park.  Well-socialized dogs are encouraged to attend this one-day event on August 19 beginning at noon.  For help training a socialized dog, CSE is offering Dog Obedience classes.

If you are interested in signing up for any of these classes or if you didn’t receive a catalog in the mail, call the Community Enrichment Office at 766-6802 or you can go online to register or check out our selection of classes at http://outreach.uwyo.edu/enrichment
