October 4, 2006 (Laramie, WY) -- After another successful quarter, Education2Go, a nationally accredited online vendor, has recognized UW Community Service Education with the second consecutive “Top Gainer” award. Compared to the second quarter of 2005, the program has increased sales by 103%.
“We are thrilled to have received this honor twice already for this year,” said Abi Gerhard, Project Coordinator for noncredit online classes. “We’ve had a lot of students happy with the program and word seems to be traveling about the opportunities we have to offer.”
So far, the third quarter is proving to be successful as well, as the noncredit online classes for UW have already increased by 129%. The first quarter of 2006 saw an increase of 131%.
“We appreciate the dedication that the University of Wyoming has shown to fostering the Ed2Go program within the community,” said Holly Roehsler, the Ed2Go Account Representative for UW. “We wish them continued growth throughout the year.”
The top classes for UW continue to be Creating Web Pages, Speed Spanish, Introduction to Microsoft Excel, Grant Writing and Accounting Fundamentals. Each Ed2Go class is six weeks long, with eight weeks to complete the course material. The classes begin the third Wednesday of each month with the next session beginning October 18. Ed2Go has over 300 classes available in a wide variety of topics.
