UW Online Classes See Increased Enrollment

February 7, 2008 (Laramie, WY)
—Online noncredit classes at UW continue to draw students from across America.  January saw record numbers of students enrolling in online training and certificate courses.  Enrollment totals for January were up nearly 30% over 2007.
Students from Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Florida, Colorado, Wyoming and Virginia signed up for classes.
“We had five students from Virginia enroll in a variety of classes ranging from Microsoft Office training to Music Appreciation,” says John Scozzafava, Online Coordinator for Community Service Education.  “Students really like that they can enroll for these classes anytime and a new session starts every month. The next session begins February 20.”
For 2008, CSE offers classes through Trump University, Donald Trump’s business training school.  Trump’s classes in Business, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship offer experienced guidance with flexible delivery.
“We are excited to offer Trump and continue to offer Ed2Go.com classes,” says Scozzafava.  “Ed2go.com continues to grow its offerings and has most recently added Office 2007, Adobe CS3 training, and more personal interest classes.”
A complete listing of available classes can be found at http://outreach.uwyo.edu/onlinecourses.asp. UW employees receive a 10% discount on Ed2Go.com classes.
