Master of Science – Kinesiology and Health

About the Program
Health and physical education teachers and health professionals are busy people. They typically work during the day and volunteer their time to work with community health care agencies/groups in the evening and on weekends.

Therefore, a traditional master of science degree program in kinesiology and health requiring students attend the University of Wyoming Laramie campus may be impossible for teachers and other health professionals to fit into their schedules.

All courses in the master of science degree in kinesiology and health delivered through Outreach Credit Programs are delivered to your home or a common UW location within your community via a combination of audio teleconferencing, pre-developed videotapes, and Web-base instruction. The program is designed so that you can complete the degree in a three-, four-, or five-year period of time depending on your needs.

The master of science Plan B (non-thesis) degree program involves a minimum of 30 credit hours and a research paper (Plan B paper) developed on a topic selected by the student in conjunction with his/her graduate faculty adviser. A minimum of 21 credit hours is required in the Division of Kinesiology and Health (KIN and HLED) including nine hours of general required courses. A final written examination is required in the Plan B program.
