Outreach School student presents research at 17th annual McNair Scholars Research Symposium
July 31, 2009 — Outreach School student Amanda Parks presented her research on first-generation college graduates’ utilization and satisfaction with services at their college during UW’s 17th Annual McNair Scholars Research Symposium at the UW Laramie campus.
Parks, who is a McNair Scholar in Lander, is in her final year of coursework for her bachelor’s degree in psychology. As a first-generation college student herself, she studied how often these students use student college services compared to traditional students.
The McNair Scholars Program provides academic opportunities for first-generation and low-income students who are considering attending graduate school. For more information, visit the UW McNair Scholars Program page.
