Web Design Certificate- Become Master of Your Domain!

The following web design classes can be taken separately or as a series to earn a Web Design Certificate. A total of 24 contact hours are required to receive a certificate. Additional Web Design classes will be offered in Fall 2008. For more info, please contact Heather at 766-6801.

Beginning Images for the Web

Learn how to produce high quality images for the web. Create a website header or a logo fast. Crop, scale, and optimize images to work well on websites. Copyright issues discussed. Setting the mood on a web page with accents and alternatives to images. Class counts as 2 contact hours.

Intermediate Images for the Web

Creative image altering, computer art skills, using an art tablet, merging images, and taking images from print, to web, and back. This course focuses more on creative skills, and the place they have in web design, as well as addressing business branding issues across print and web. Hands on practice! Class counts as 2 contact hours.

Blogging for Business

Make a Splash with a Blog! Everything you need to know to use a blog to promote a business, or as a separate income stream. Set it up in class, learn to customize it, write for it, optimize, market, and maintain it. Lots of hands on experience.
