John Waggener will be teaching “Wyoming and the West through Maps,” a topic on which he has much expertise.  John has a B.A. in Education and Geography, as well as an M.A. in Geography, all from UW.  John has been researching maps of the west since 1990, and his Masters thesis was written on Wyoming roap maps.  He has been a UW archivist at the American Heritage Center since 2001.  John is married to Diana Marie and has a step-daughter, Carmella.  He enjoys hiking, mountaineering, and cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys!
