Vedauwoo Walkabout
Pronounced Vee-da-voo, this is the area of unusual rock formations east of Laramie. Vedauwoo is rich in natural history and geology. Its name was invented by Euro-Americans who said it meant ‘earth born spirit’ (vaguely based on bito’owu, the Arapahoe word for earth). Hike around the Turtle Rock Trail and be prepared for some serious fun as you listen to Jim’s fascinating tales of the area.
