Mary Maynard - Knitting for Beginners, Thrum Socks Workshop, The Romantic Trio

Mary Maynard has spent most of her life creating art using fiber, thread, fabric, or string : ). She is a master knitter and crocheter with the Yarn Council of America. In 1998 she graduated from the University college of Agriculture with a degree in Textiles and Merchandis(or z?)ing. More recently, after publishing books on tatting, she is working for a master's certification in that art. This is the second year in a row that she has been awarded a grant from the Art Council of Wyoming ("Supported in part be an award from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature."). This award is for teaching and preserving folk art. In Mary's case, the folk art is tatting and crochet. Mary has a unique sense of himor. Her classes are fun. She teaches each student to enhance their skills at their level of expertise.
