Language - Communicate Across Borders & Barriers!

Intensive French                                 

A dynamic, intensive conversational class to put you on the fast track to learning or dusting off your language skills.  Learn basic pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary needed for effective communication and common phrases needed for travel abroad.

Instructor Valerie Schoneberger was born and raised in Paris. Her class sessions will enlighten you on French culture as you learn the language.

Intensive Survival Spanish                               

Gain a working knowledge of the Spanish language, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Learn how to master the everyday use of the language and find answers to many questions. Strengthen conversational skills and get prepared for the day that you can speak Spanish without any coaching! For the summer only, this class combines Survival Spanish I & II into a four-week intensive course.                                                                               

Instructor Jennifer LaVanchy teaches Spanish at UW and has spent seven years living in Latin America.

Sign Language

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to know basic sign and were not able to communicate with someone?  Sign Language is something we should all learn for both personal and professional reasons.  Participants will also learn about deaf culture.
