Jasmin Faulk - Arabic Language & Exploring Arabic Culture
![]() |
Jasmin Faulk is a passionate teacher of understanding the Middle East from a native’s prospective. She is a product of two very diverse cultures. Her mother is Italian, and her father Saudi Arabian. She was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, yet given the opportunity to explore and learn the Western culture through her mother’s teachings (who is a well known author in Italy), and many visits to Europe and the United States. Jasmin went to an all girl, private Arab Muslim school growing up, and later all girl university (working towards a major in Linguistics) and has been surrounded by the pure, and traditional mentality of the Arab, Muslim world, therefore understanding the heritage and reasoning behind many of the misinterpreted and misunderstood myths of the people of the Middle East, and yet realizing that her options were limited in that oppressed, restricted surrounding. She has been an ESL teacher for a few years in Saudi Arabia to young children in private elementary schools, as well as an Inetrnational Student Assistant at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, WY. Jasmin’s interests range from educating people about her culture, to the environment, nutrition, music, dance, yoga and the arts. She is tri-lingual and is in the process of obtaining her degree in nutrition as well as Middle Eastern Studies. She is married to an American man, and has been living in Wyoming for over 7 years. She has three beautiful boys, and loves the life and community of Laramie. |
