Russian Arts                              

Russia has a very rich cultural history and heritage. Have you ever heard about unique Russian culture and heritage? This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Russian arts in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Class topics include: 1) Music – classical, opera, ballet, and folk; 2) Russian Handicrafts; 3) Language – alphabet, main phrases, anecdotes, chastuska, Russian superstitions; 4) Cuisine, and 5) Interesting facts about Russian traditions.

Chinese Culture & Language

There’s so much to learn about Chinese culture!  With a long history of more than 5,000 years, China is one of the most attractive and interesting countries around the world. Learn all about: resorts such as Great Wall, West Lake, and Five Famous Mountains; hand-made crafts, such as embroidery, and paper-cut; traditional Chinese festivals with special food, including  Mid-Autumn Festival with Moon Cake.

If you love Chinese food there is a hands-on cooking session where you’ll learn how to make delicious food and gain basic knowledge of Chinese cooking from the Chinese Instructor Xihui (Alex) Xu, an awesome Chinese chef.

Fee: $39 + $10 food fee due to instructor night of cooking class. Location:  UW Beta House, Meadowlark Room

Enjoying European Art - Online Course   

The art and architecture of Europe offers an overwhelming array of choices that is sure to exhaust even the most dedicated art lover. This course will introduce you to the most important works of European art on a personal and familiar level.
