Arts & Crafts - Create Fun this Summer!

Children’s Picture Book  Illustration             

Explore the world of children’s art. Learn to draw using suggestion and gesture rather than perfection. Have fun looking at proven successes and creating characters of your own. Discover resources to help you get published.  Please bring the following to class: number 2 (HB) pencil & sharpener; colored pencils, pilot ink pens (optional); sketch pad, scrap paper 11’ x 14”and kneaded eraser. Oil Painting

Get comfortable with oil paint and other tools of the trade. Basic painting techniques are covered. No previous painting or drawing experience required. Learn the fundamentals of color and pictorial composition through practice, class demonstrations, and specific, individual instruction and critique. Students will be required to purchase their own easel for the course.  Please note: Women who are breastfeeding, pregnant or suspect they may be pregnant should consult their family physician before enrolling in this class.
