October Tips for Planning Your Event!
Have some fun in your next meeting!

Think about a new twist to your next meeting?  Instead of trying to find something for a centerpiece, how about using table toys?

Toys on the tables when people come in set a different tone.  It says we are going to learn/interact/participate differently.

You don’t have to have a purpose – that is, you don’t have to use them for “team building” or “competition” – they are just there for those who want to play with them.

Play is healthy and contributes to learning and relaxation.

The activity of their hands frees the other half of their brains to be creative and open.

Some suggestions for toys that work:

  • Squishy stress balls in neon colors liven up any table.
  • Slinky like things.
  • Magic Wands
  • Small bubble containers
  • Wikki-Stix
  • Crayola Model Magic or Crayola "dough"
  • Silly putty
  • Crayons or markers
  • Plain legos (not sets)
  • Finger puppets

If you are interested in purchasing such items and need a source, give Denise Marquiss in the Events Planning Office a call.
