Hosted by the George C. Frison Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Department of Anthropology, Office of the Wyoming State Archaeologist, the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office, the Wyoming Highway Department, and the Department of Anthropology graduate students, we welcome you to the 66th Annual Plains Anthropological Conference in Laramie, Wyoming. The meeting will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn and the University of Wyoming Conference Center on October 1 – 4, 2008.

Topics addressing Plains anthropological, historical, archaeological and related subjects are welcome. We especially wish to encourage student participation (undergraduate and graduate) at the 2008 meeting by offering Student Travel Awards. Students may enter the Student Paper Award competition (details are available on the Plains Anthropological Society web page).

The Wyoming Association of Professional Archaeologists will hold their fall meeting on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Hilton Garden Inn.
